I've tried trashbank. I don't know about swap.com specifically. I think it's a great idea that really needs a mediating service. If someone openly misrepresents something on the internet and then mails it; here in the US they're risking a mail fraud charge. I think a federal offense is a little steep for something that could be handled with a civil approach. I guess being pro-actively suspicious could be good enough as preventative measure. true. and also swap.com uses a ratings system where past traders will rate them based on their preformance. A majority of people on swap have a 90% and up rating, and many times a bad rating or two is just because of shipping and postal issues, not the actual swapper. I try to swap with only people that are %100 rating and have a few swaps on their record. I do, however, give the newbies a chance. Someone gave me a chance when i first started a few years back, and now I try to give back the favor. 1
I can see how a rating system could be a big help. I may check it out myself. |
