Well my Minecraft FPS is fluctuating horribly. I get the fps of 50,30,11,17, and the rest. I after 5 minutes I need to change fast to fancy or vice versa and same with smooth lighting. I have already set java to high priority in task manager, used optimizers, Closed background programs, fixed render, gotten optifine, etc. It worked fine when I first got computer. Specs: intel newest gen i5, 2.4ghz, 6gb of ram. Anything else? I beg of you. :-/ |

You should check out your running processes. Also look in your event viewer for a relevant error or a hanging auto update or something. Anything that needs an internet connection can interrupt Minecraft. You can also hit ctrl+alt del and click on the networking tab to see if it spikes or drops off. That would only work with networking lagg, plus it could only happen on a server or in the new snapshots, not the 1.2.5 single player.. They finally made it true single player mode? Uhm no they took away the true single player and replaced it with a simulated server bringing all SMP bugs to SSP :( I know very little about protocols and API's. I just didn't consider it true single player before because it required a log in. It looked light as a feather from this end though. Lol if you've logged in once you can always play SSP even when you're not connected to the internet. Only if you want to get on a server you need to be logged in. It's defiantly not like Diablo III which requires a constant connection to their servers which is the worst way of publishing a game (servers were constantly down). The single player will still stay 100% playable without any internet connection. It just emulates a server in the background with which it constantly communicates in 1.3. Isn't D3 an MMO sandbox like WOW? Neither Diablo III or WOW are a sandbox. A sandbox game is a game in which you can edit all the surroundings to however you like. I haven't played Diablo III yet since it's highly overhyped and all the videos I've seen from it make me want it even less. A sandbox game is a game like Minecraft or Gary's Mod. It doesn't have a direct story and you can create your own world. Then what makes Eve a sandbox. I realize it's kind of a subjective context. You know we should be trying to help this person. You got anything? A known bug? It looks like they've covered their basses pretty well.
