Should everyone have a website?

I think it would be awesome if everyone had a website or blog. Many people don't go beyond their Facebook and Twitter accounts because they believe that creating their own website would be way too difficult and time-consuming.

Plus setting up a site costs a fair amount of money, unless you want to forgo your address for a .blogspot.com, or .webs.com.

I'd only recommend .blogspot.com, since .webs.com has logos and Ads everywhere and you have cheap little templates.

Yeah, but a .blogspot.com, has that at the end. To get a real site, you'd have to pay for the domain name, hosting, email, etc.

Espcially when you use something like Windows live writer for MS windows version and there are several for both Mac OSX and Linux. So depending on which Operating system you are using on your computer you could use a app locally then upload it when it is done. Makes it a lot easier then writing it directly through your Favorited browser.

no I don't believe everyone should have a website not at all a website is for people with honest interest in such a thing having one just for the sake of having one or having dozens of partly started web pages and dozens or abandoned site..

also website and even the internet is not for everyone or so people do say , beleive it or not at least 50% of people out there believe the world was and would be a better place without an internet and a good protion of them have never ever had a computer or seen the internet yes they judge it and no clue what it is, not sahying nothing bad aout them I mean after all there are million who have computers and internet access and have no clue what it is :)

my answer is : if you are not into geekery you shudn't waste time on areas that are alien to you, should everyone have a website? well ofcorse why not there are also many free tools av today to host a simple page but what about the "value" of such page or site?

if you are business rather than doing stuff yourself hire an expert to setup a good website, a web presence def helps and adds value.
