YouTube screen casting/Making money

How do I make money on YouTube I want to start doing screencasting videos on my iPad and my Mac when I get it how do I do that and what applications do I need?

Heres the deal on that, you cant just start a youtube channel and expect to make money straight out of the gate. It takes time, dedication, and good content, and many times thats still not enough. for example, I've had a youtube channel for 2 years with good content, and I do regular videos, and I still do not meet the reccommended requirements to apply for a youtube partnership, which you need to start getting paid. It takes a lot of views and a lot of subscribers to get accepted into the partnership program. As for screencasting software for Mac, I suggest camtasia. its easy to use, intuitive, and includes a lot of features that arent found on many other programs that cost much more. as for on the iPad, Im not sure, as I dont yet own one. hope this helps.

Actually. You can now apply for the partnership program regardless of your subscribers or videos etc. It's YouTube's updated version. A partner now simply just gives you Monetization options, you still don't get banners or thumbnails or anything - I'm not even sure how you can anymore!

Yeah With that ^ you dont actually become a partner you just earn the odd cent for allowing google to display ads on and beside your video, YouTube will send you an email asking you to become a partner when you meet the requirements :) Jacob.
