So I started to use Instagram for the past two weeks, and it's been fine, but the thing that gets me is not uploading photos via my PC. I have thousands of photos I'd like to upload but Instagram doesn't let you upload it because their API doesn't allow it. Why don't they? Are they trying to be exclusive to the mobile devices? All of my photos take up all of my space on my phone and Instagram would probably crash at the 1,509 photos I have.

Lmao, for which one? If you're talking about Punch and Pie, I'm an admin of a Facebook like page, so I upload photos like these. If you're talking about TinyChat, lmao, everyone on my TinyChat has these classic photos.

lol, at the photos, and I don't know, but for the people without smart phones, to not even try the service, I mean how hard is it to have the option to make an account and upload photos via a computer?

Word 2, If I upload all of these at the same time, chances are the app will crash and I'll have to start over again.

What is that arrow button on the window?

(Jul 24 '12 at 00:51) ryebread761 ryebread761's gravatar image

Which one @ryebread761? The blue one? The silver one pointing down, or the double sided arrows next to the minimize, full size, close buttons?

Its Windows 8, and how do you manage that, I think I'm allergic to Windows 8, but honestly how do you live with that, I mean it fine, if the start menu was back and everything didn't look so dumbed down, everything is so cunky and non flowing

(Jul 24 '12 at 07:54) pjob797 pjob797's gravatar image

Ehh, I got used to everything in 8, because I've been using it ever since Developer, lol. Once you get used to it, it's not so bad.

The double sided arrows next to the normal window buttons.

You should just use Gramblr - http://gramblr.com/

It's 100% free, but you can choose to pay $10 for it if/when you want to.

They don't limit it, either!

but you can view them online, so why not just extend the capability of the service.

(Jul 24 '12 at 00:36) pjob797 pjob797's gravatar image

Yeah i guess, why have an website devoted just for looking at pictures? that would be quite neccesary. (being able to upload pictures from computer). Jacob.

^That's the whole point of Instagram, lol. If we can upload on our computers Instagram would be the new Flickr.

(Jul 24 '12 at 08:56) DJ Scooby Doo DJ%20Scooby%20Doo's gravatar image

well more devices in future are gonna be mobile, even computers with windows 8 touch pc's, they all have cameras, front facing on tablets so very nice move by fb to acquire this application, instagram is a mobile "camera" app and if they allow photo upload just like zillion other sites on web what difference it ll be for them? they ll lost identity!

Windows 8, even while being a tablet, is still a desktop operating system. To be able to upload from there would to be able to upload from any Windows 8 PC, which invalidates your point.

read again, then answer! i said instagram is a mob "camera" app, try answering juice before you respond to people ;), oh u too young for that?

(Jul 24 '12 at 08:52) bharatkumargupta bharatkumargupta's gravatar image

^Pause, no need for all that attitude. Instagram doesn't even have a Windows Phone port, so you know it sucks for all the new 8 users that use this tablet/desktop OS.

(Jul 24 '12 at 08:55) DJ Scooby Doo DJ%20Scooby%20Doo's gravatar image

it ll have! thats why fb acquired them, but it ll always be a mob camera app

btw -this kid is misbehaving to me on every single thread of mine, mods arent acting so i have to respond to him in such a way. teach him some manners please if u are a mod here

(Jul 24 '12 at 08:58) bharatkumargupta bharatkumargupta's gravatar image

What do you mean "mob camera app"? I'm not a mod, so I can't do anything. From the looks of this, he's just saying his opinion, he's not trying to piss you off.

(Jul 24 '12 at 09:05) DJ Scooby Doo DJ%20Scooby%20Doo's gravatar image

check other threads, anyways i m not arguing with this kid anymore

I said that if they make a version for Windows 8 tablets, it will work on Windows 8 computers. I'm not wrong. Deal with it.

(Jul 24 '12 at 14:53) Tim Fontana Tim%20Fontana's gravatar image

Yeah, but they should make a Windows Phone port too while they're at it, lol.
