Is it possible to restore backups from different recoveries?

i have a galaxy s3 att and i made a backup of my current rom on cwm recovery, and earlier today i installed team win recovery project's recovery, and i was just curious if restoring would work properly with the new recovery or if i should revert back and then install the recovery again afterwards. any ideas?

0	I think you should revert back then install recovery again. I did that when I installed CWM on my Lenovo Ideapad A1, that's now running ICS thanks to manually updating the firmware. answered Jul 24 '12 at 22:54 DJ Scooby Doo 9.5k●232●279●380
