Open Broadcaster Software is free and open source software for recording and live streaming. Source code is available to everyone to contribute and improve. Both 32 and 64 bit versions are available and it's absolutely free!

It's a little buggy and it doesn't like streaming League until you are actually at the loading screen - but it streams in really high quality if your PC/ISP can handle it.

Have you tried steam itself they have a wide cariety of games for free but you need the steam engine in order to work with them. What operating system are you using on your computer. Is it windows based, Mac OSX, Linux, Solaris from Oracle?

Xfire is a very popular gaming-specific IM. It has built in voice chat and video streaming features. Check it out.

Also, here is a tutorial on how to do live streaming with justin.tv.

And there is another tutorial on how to stream your desktop live on Ustream.

I personally use XSplit. If you get the paid version you can stream games in fullscreen mode, as XSplit can hook directly onto OpenGL game threads instead of a post-processing image of the entire screen. XSplit allows streaming to a multitude of services as well. http://www.xsplit.com/

I use Steam (Dark Star One) and Cryptic Studios (Star Trek Online) what can I say I like space adventures and I have been a Trekkie for as long as Kirk has been captain (I am an OLD gamer), I prefer the ones I can play both off and online, but look around, there are many, find the genre that interests YOU, what you are interested in playing, check out what is being said about them as to how stable they are when playing any bugs, etc., all things are not equal online. The world is your oyster, you just need a good enough knife to open it.
