Since I started my blog, I've been trying to get the best design that is the most functional and not completely ugly. I run it on WordPress and was using the default theme until I came up with the one that I've got there now. What do you think of the design? Is there anything that you don't like? What could I improve?

Feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

I like it. It's clean and cute in a cool kind of way. Aesthetically it could use more visuals in the main body. I wouldn't want to suggest an overdone cliche like busying it up with a lot of images though. Maybe build upon some reusable iconography that's theme relevant and a bit understated like the character in the upper left; maybe even with some organizational value?

Well it is nice, but if you want something clean and new, try WooThemes. Just Email me if you want one, I bought the whole package. It also helps to have PHP & CSS Knowledge for in depth customization, because if you have a theme, especially if it's popular and Free (like TwentyTen) you don't want your blog looking like who knows how many else.

--blogger has excellent space for the main banner and where u can put amazing arts if u like, rest is very easy, simple and clear to the viewer and in blog side of things i ser dont recommend wordpress unless u want to do more with your website. i have put a simple banner that i may easily change on my blogger, thats it a complete blog site for people to watch thats fast to load and has all tools for interaction too!

I used to use blogger until 3 months ago when I decided to switch to WordPress.

the site is good, the content is not divided adequately everything is at one place which is rather intimidating for a viewer who simply wants to consume content from your site, always remember viewer has very limited attention span, dividing content into small but adequate parts makes stuff really shine out, btw u have good design skills!

i have an experience of wordpress and it takes a lot to get the most out of self hosted site and for very limited use such as blogging i ve learned that its far better n intuitive to use blogger as platform which has great load speeds(the main thing) and the amount of time that u ll spend on learning tricks of wp for mere blogging the same amount u can spend to learn blogger u can greatly customize ur blog and good to go from there, so yeah again if u want to expand ur site other than blog wordpress is way to go but again it takes learning, time and skill to make it look like what u want it to be. hope it helps

Your main goal if i understand is to run a blog and allow viewer comments/interaction and grow from there, thats your main goal and thats the main thing u might wanna worry about always.

u may also want to monetize it using prog like adsense which is trust me far easier to set up inside a blogger compared to wordpress.

in wp side of things u are always dependent upon the web host and their uptime and what not, the viewer and ur business pays price for that.

wp has been a trend for most people is all i can see but unless ur into web design and know a bit about web hosting n what not i dont recommend u guys to use that, bec u shud concentrate on your best skills which is getting ur word out and not spending time on these installs, and what not.

hope it helps. yes wp takes a lot to make ur site look the way u want.
