[closed] Should you turn your computer off when there is a thunder storm?

Hey All,

I was just wondering, there is a storm on its way here but I have heard in the past that you should turn your computer off when there is a thunderstorm? Is this true?

There's one in NYC too. I think it passed already, but I still hear raining and thunder.
