Is there a way to except someone from a Google+ post?

I have an event coming up, but I want it to be a surprise for one of my friends. I want to share the event so that everyone possible will come, but I don't want him to see it. Is there a way to do this, other than making a circle with everyone else but him in it?

0	yeah but its easyer just to put that person out side in a circle of there own :) you can make a post not public and then type in the name of each person you want to see it .. answered Aug 06 '12 at 10:36 jadtechnic 2.0k●5●18

0	The only other way would be to select the people individually.... There doesn't seem to be an option to exclude any one person. Unless you put them in a circle of their own until after the event. answered Aug 06 '12 at 10:39 DavidClare1 61●2●7
