I have the opportunity to upgrade my Droid X today and with all the new phone I am unsure as to which is the best for MY NEEDS. The Verizon network is staying (so don't say something that is network specific to sprint or AT&T). Android's usability has never been an issue with my Droid X so that isn't a factor. The three listed in the title (iphone 4s, Galaxy nexus, droid razr) are notably the bleeding edge of phones and seeing as it is a rapidly moving industry I would not like to get out dated so don't recommend a different phone unless it will still be useable in 2ish years. As of right now this is what I use my phone for the most
Phone stuff (calling texting etc)
Downloading music (generally through amazons market, Can you do that on an iPhone or just through itunes?)
Downloading and playing games
Calendar (Can iPhone sink with google cal?)
Web fact look up.
Listening to music (local not streaming but I might switch as I have a big library)
So, as you can see, I do a fair amount of web based stuff making 4g a big deal. Battery life isn't that huge of a problem so long as it can last from 5am to 6pm with fair to heavy use. Thanks in advance for the advice.

You can do all of that on each device which makes those points kinda irrelevant. I would go with an Android phone since you already have one.
Galaxy Nexus is your best bet honestly. I would always go for the Nexus devices, since they get updated much earlier than other phones and its the purest Android experience possible without rooting.
