I can't say I know much... but I can read and understand

  • Html
  • Css
  • Php
  • Java
  • Qbasic
  • Visual Basic
  • C++

I find it's weird how that works.. I couldn't write from scratch.. but if stuff needs editing.. I could read it correctly to know what to look for.

Like me, I couldn't write a PHP script, but I can configure it to whatever I want.

Some "Scripting" languages are included as well

  • Java
  • C++
  • C
  • C#
  • Perl
  • Bash Scripting
  • Python
  • Visual Basic
  • Haskell
  • Prolog
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript + (jQuery oh well, tons of libraries)
  • XML
  • MATLAB
  • Julia language
  • Google Go
  • Google DART
  • Action Script
  • Batch Scripting
  • Assembly (if u consider it a "Language" XD)
  • Groovy
  • VHDL

[Edit] Remember that Readability is a factor of the language design/purpose as well as the programmer. Good Software Engineering, documentation, experience and design patterns can make reading code easier than reading English. After all, this is why a Software Engineer > Coder/Hacker/Programmer for ONLY that matter (and some more other things).

I wouldn't count Batch as a language, it's just a configuration for command prompt to auto-command it when the *.bat file is opened.

I would conciser assembly a language long before XML, CSS, HTML and many other things you listed.

  • C
  • C++
  • C#
  • Various forms of assembly
  • machine code (with proper documentation)
  • Visual Basic
  • Java
  • Verilog (not technically a programming language)
  • Matlab (simulation)
  • P-Spice (simulation)

But a good programmer is not one that knows a lot of languages, but one who can write good code. Any programmer should be able to learn any language after some experience with 1 or 2 languages. A good programmer will also has to be able to understand the architecture he is working with. He should know the quirks, the ins, and the outs of it. A good programmer will also not only know algorithms but be able to create them.
