I have a new MacBook Air running a fresh copy of 10.8. Every time I put it to sleep and close the lid, it's dead by morning! I can't find anything running in the background besides Time Machine! Ideas?

10.8 has a new feature known as Power Nap, which checks your email, updates your calendar.. basically it gets updates as if your computer was on. you could try turning off this feature in "Energy Saver" and you could also turn off your wifi.

I appreciate that suggestion and know about power nap. Power nap is suppose to get updates and do other small tasks with a minimal use of power. Going to sleep with 100% battery and 8 hours later having a drained battery is not so good. I don't think not using the new power nap feature or turning off my wifi is not really a solution I'm willing to settle with. Thanks again ;-)
