I've been unemployed for a good 2 years now, yet since for the majority of that time I was under 18 I didn't exactly have a lot of opportunities available. Now, I quite honestly don't want to get a job, the idea of having to trade my time for money is highly unattractive (Not to say I've not been looking for a job, nowhere will take me). I could get a 40 hour a week job at minimum wage, work the standard 9-5, monday to Friday and for what? To sustain myself, I mean what's the point in life if the point is simply to sustain myself and have no enjoyment?

So, What are some god ways to earn money without a job (In the UK specifically)? I've seen a lot of questions asking how to earn money online, but I'm looking for more then that. I'm looking for a way to set up a system to earn a stable income, wether it be using the internet or my local environment. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

What I meant was that, when you're employed you work lets say 40 hours a week for a set amount of money. You're trading 40 hours of your life for the money they're offering. Owning a business is more work and less pay (My Fathers was a prime example). But I'm looking for ways to make money without necessarily owning a business. :p

I'd hardly call myself lazy. I'm actively looking for a job while trying to make money whichever way I can elsewhere. Just because I'd like to find a way to make money without actually being employed and controlled doesn't mean I'm lazy.

I'm on JobSeekers allowance and I'm given something like £40 a week. Without that I'd have no money for anything.

I've contracted myself out more than a few times. Even with the pro activity that it takes to make the earnings and the added difficulty of paying taxes it's nice to be able to write your own ticket. I would give a word of caution however. I had a really hard time about ten years ago when people were more concerned about necessities. I had a sweet deal with something I was good at that went south in a hurry when the market crashed. If you are going to do your own thing it becomes increasingly more viable if you have a strict money saving policy. Go forth and good luck.

Find ways for your hobbies and/or passions to provide income. For example, I enjoy making music, so I started selling beats to other artists and etc. While it's still work in some form, since you already enjoy doing it, it won't feel like you're wasting your time at some random job.

It depends what you like. I'm planning on working online when I'm 18+. But it's all about what you want.
