There is a rule about not soliciting work, I would be careful with this question.

I will be very careful about this. This was my last resort.

seriously? it is a student asking for help... I don't think the reason behind the rule is to keep people from asking for this kind of help...

My dude, I understand you but look at what he says though. He's looking for someone to interview, I get it, but still. This isn't a question, either way.

From the Site Rules:

No Solicitation - You may not ask for invites to websites such as Google+, Spotify, etc. You may not advertise your website or blog. Additionally, you may not recruit or ask for employees to help you with your website, blog, or service.

Regardless of that, this isn't a question anyway.

However, my father is an engineer. He's been doing it for a good 30 years and is regarded as one of the best network engeners in the UK. I doubt he'd be up for chatting with you though!

The question has been closed for the following reason "You can't solicit work here. I know it looks like you're not, but the content looks like you are soliciting work. Please check the FAQ for more." by DJ Scooby Doo Aug 16 '12 at 21:44
