What cables can I connect to my iPod touch to show onto my computer running Windows 7? If you know any ways to connect via Wi-Fi, then that's good, too. I don't want any jailbreaking involved. |

You don't want to jailbreak? You're out of luck. The only way I know is to jailbreak and you could use Screen Recorder or SSH your way inside to see video. He's right, you would have to jailbreak @bboyhurricane. iTunes Apps are run in a "sandboxed" mode so even if you could find some sort of VNC app, you would only be able to see that apps screens, not those of the entire system/other apps. Though, if your PC has a TV tuner that supports the in's of the apple video out cables you might be able to do that. Though that'd be much more expensive then jailbreaking it, especially now that it's just a 1 click method on iOS 5.1.1 |

you can use an app called reflection but i do not think that it works with an ipod touch. you could try and then if it worked you could buy it. it is $15 Yea it doesn't support iPod touch but thanks for the suggestion. It also doesn't support Windows, just OS X. Unless you want to jailbreak, you pretty much can't. If it's just to do a screen recording, there's actually an app in the App Store called Display Recorder (unless it got pulled, I'm not sure) that will record your screen. If it's to do a live demo, I'd just setup a camera to point at it. I did a presentation about an app I made and I just used a document camera and set my iPod under it. It worked fine for me. The app reflection actually dies support windows and Linux if you run it through wine I'm skeptical of this app. Usually wireless would be depending on your internet connection, so you know, keep that in mind. I did watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW5n660DxEA, and it looks good, but that and the battery dying faster as you're mirroring your screen towards your computer. yes it does wear down your battery but no more than streaming to an apple tv and it works really well. I suggest that you check it out Wine does not work for OS X Apps on Linux and Windows, it's sole purpose is for Windows apps on OS X and Linux, it does not work the other way around. However, reflection is available for Windows as it's own app. Also, the only way that AirPlay mirroring will work w/out jailbreaking is if the asker owns an iPhone 4S, iPad 2G, or iPad 3G. So if he/she doesn't have one this app is useless.

The current iPod Touch is not capable of mirror itself in anyway normally. It can only do video out over AirPlay or cable via an adapter. In order to do this, you're going to have to jailbreak your iPod Touch, which is fairly simple. If you really don't want to, then I'm sorry to say that you are out of luck. |

Probably not, and why would you want to?
If its a video or picture just send the file over to pc or something
