I personally like gaming on a PC over an Xbox 360 or something else, what do YOU like better?

For first person shooters, computers are better. It's way easier to aim and all...

For any other games, both can be great. But as a collector, I'd rather use consoles.

Computer gaming purely because I just can't handle a console controller. For me it's mouse and keyboard all the way.

Little side question, is it possible to use your keyboard and mouse as an XBox 360 Controller?

there are adapters that allow you to use a keyboard and mouse as a xbox 360 controller but none of them work well as mouse movements are emulated and games designed around the controller require button presses that are extremely difficult to do simultaneously on the keyboard.

furthermore, the way the mouse is emulated, you get no form of acceleration so the speed at which you move the mouse does not translate yo how fast the camera moves.

On the other hand, you can use a xbox 360, wii, or PS3 controller with any PC (though for the wii, you need to build power supply to power the sensor bar)

both ninetendo and sony have een setting people up for the gaming tablet for a while waiting to see the opera mini browser to show up on the DS so that you can chat ujp date your Facebook or google profile maybe VOip call chat maybe watch some video TWC and others are working on having your cable, internet and phone available out side your home where even you go wireless going with not so much free wireless hot spots but contracting all there services as a data plan this way charged for using where ever you go ..

maybe through a cookie I would imagine it would allow access to you and start metering your data use ..

this would be great for the Smart phone tablet market people on the move and a way for cable company's who are losing subcribers to cable because they are on the move never watching tv using other services for movies such as netflix .. AND IT would add competition to the cell phone markets which keep merging and shrinking that a lot rather then compete they sollow up there competition in merger ..

imagine having access to your unlimited digital calling plan from your smartphone or tablet gameing device anywhere you go ..

I like my keyboard and mouse. PC graphics look better too. When I was a kid all we had were consoles. The last one I had was a Sega Genesis and I haven't looked back.

As a side note; PCs are software heavy and Consoles are hardware light. I would like to see the gaming industry (coughs "Valve") create a gaming platform. Maybe an NTFS kernel (coughs "ReactOS") with a light (coughs "Steam Powered") API. With that environment a newer small form factor PC with decent hardware could achieve the gaming desktop result without being much more expensive than the console. The developers are creating for a hand full of platforms none of which are being deemed a comfortable architecture. I really don't see why they put up with it. They are top tier software engineers for crying out loud. I think the gaming industry has the backing and the talent to do better with a dedicated gaming machine. I think it's a matter of time before they do.

I prefer PC Gaming, because you can't build your own console!

i prefer console gaming because a console is a one time buy and youre good for several years. I dont want to keep upgrading everything all the time.

Plus I absolutely hate keyboard and mouse, prefer controller.

I'm a bit of both as @ABouchard55 said, first shooters, you can't beat a PS3 or a 360. You have your multiplayer options and it's portable to some degree that you could just go to your friends' house and just chill the whole day playing Call of Duty.

PC, I love to play games such as L.A. Noire, San Andreas, etc. You could always plug in a USB controller and get at it if you want a controller experience. I guess I'm kind of like @jrdn, with not upgrading and keeping with what I got for a while. San Andreas plays perfectly on Almost every computer, until you play games like GTA IV where you might get lag from moving from mediocre graphics to almost real life graphics.

I'm more of a PC gamer, but I love me console gaming as well.

So far I have only played games on the console. Except for a really long time ago, I played Harry Potter on the computer at the library, and sometimes I would be there for like 5 hours playing those computer games. I only played console games so far, but I recently got bored of playing console games. So bored, that I gave my Xbox to my brother. I haven't played any games in over 5 months. But, I am looking to building a PC, and maybe I might start gaming on the computer. My laptop here... I tried to play games on it, but it is just not powerful enough to give me a good experience.

I like console gaming better mainly because the controller is much easier to use than mapping actions to my keyboard and mouse (or PC gamepad) since console games are designed to use the specific controller that the system it was designed to be played on. Also playing games with the keyboard just doesn't feel very comfortable. Not to mention that you need to have a powerful enough computer to play games on (and need to constantly upgrade your computer to keep up with the latest games), especially with more resource intensive games. Also there are many games you just can't get on the PC, though those are generally exclusive games like Maro Games, Ratchet and Clank games, etc., but still those are the type of games I like (I don't like FPS games at all). Mainly, the games I play on my computer are just small web games when I'm bored, though I did used to play Midtown Madness 2 online in the past.
