Hey guys! Is it possible to mount a FTP server has like a drive on Mac OS X with Read/Write capabilities? Just nice and short question. |

Yeah just download Daemon Tools Lite for Mac OS X and then click mount and install some sort of server software on the Mounted Drive. Hey man, appreciate the answer, though I'm not quite sure what you mean by "install some sort of server software on the mounted drive." And Daemon Tools is a program to mount virtual drives, which the mac already can do. Just that, if I use Finder to connect to the FTP server, it doesn't allow me to write to it, which is a big disadvantage. 1
That why I said use Daemon Tools to mount it then use FileZilla to upload. Install XAMPP or WAMP on the mounted drive is what i mean. You should use XAMPP. http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-macosx.html And then if you use localhost or your ip address (cmyip.com) you can access your server. All your files go in the htdocs folder (.html, and whatever else you may store) If you need help pointing a .tk to your ip let me know, or if your up for the price of a .com or something like that. |
