I would think at least 4, since it has 3 by default so that most likely means 1 1gb dimm and 1 2gb dimm, so swap the 1gb dimm for a 2gb dimm, and you'll be good I'm sure 2x4gb dimms will fit if they fit in the socket, you'll have to measure it yourself
