How well do you think a Intel core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz CPU, EVGA GTX 680 Classified, ASUS P9X79 WS LGA 2011 Intel mobo, SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC, and a swiftech water cooling setup would run a single 1440 monitor and what about 3? and now what would it be like with 2 and 3 way sli?

You don't need to watercool, tradition cooler master cooling for the cpu, and some other fans would worj fine, SSD although fast, do you really need it? and one video card can support 3 monitors, not that well in some cases but, well did you just win the lotto?

No, I'm building a computer that will be future proof and very over-clockable!

you can always change hard drives, or add hard drives and you can swap out video cards, but if you have the cash to spend now on technology which would be outdated pretty quickly, new video cards are always coming out, you can always start small and add on, just not duck tape repairs, meaning little cheap patches, you get what you pay for, and again water cooling can be added later, and sorry if i'm sounding a bit too dream smashing, I'm not meaning to,but i'm kind of just stating facts with our any emotions, king of like a Dalek, but i digress

Nothing is ever "future proof" in the pc world. Why don't you stick to something that runs off the i7 2600k? Overclocking is insanely great on that cpu. Ask any computer tech. Also I agree you don't NEED an SSD, but it is nice to have. Just keep in mind you will need to buy a HDD if you are wanting to store anything on your computer. Air-cooling is fine unless you just want to show off your build. Have you thought about your case? Corsair is a great case manufacturer, or you can stick to something that everyone loves such as the HAF-X. Ram? are you planning on running virtual box? If so you will probably want 16 Gigs, Kingston is a great brand. If you're not running any virtual machines, stick to 8 Gigs for now. $50 to upgrade later on if need be. Make sure that if you do go with 16 Gigs though, stick to Windows 7 Ultimate, Professional or Linux due to Ram usage. 3 way sli is pointless. Buy 1 GREAT card now, and upgrade later or get 2 mid ranged cards.
