How to Stream Mac desktop over LAN to Windows?

I'm trying to stream my Mac desktop over to my Windows desktop for live streaming purposes. I tried VLC but it doesn't seem to have desktop streaming on the Mac version. Is there any other way I can do this preferably over LAN?

if you just need basic control and live viewing then team viewer is good (you can also stream audio using the voice chat feature and setting the mic source to wave).

if you need to watch a movie stored on the mac then you need some DLNA software or run windows 7 in a virtual machine and use it to stream)
