Favorite camera brand

What's your favorite camera brand? Whether it be something old school like Minolta, or a newer brand, compact or SLR, your choice! I personally like Sony alpha dSLRs and Pentax dSLRs. As far as compacts go, i've had good experiences with Fuji and Panasonic.

Favorite brand for me is Canon. Most of the digital cameras in our house are Canon. Why? First experience and the number of friends recommending them.

Honestly, go with Canon or Nikon and put them in your hands and take pictures before spending a dollar. The feel is a bigger determiner of which works best for you.

I also find that Canon have a verryyy nice feel to them. Seriously comfortable.

I use my Nikon Coolpix P90 for serious shots because it's an Überkammera.
I use my Canon PowerShot SD1000 for quick shots because it fits in my shirt pocket.
I use my Sony HDR-CD110 for 1080p video. This thing is tiny.

My favorite camera brand is Canon and, at this point, we've so thoroughly invested in Canon gear we would be hard-pressed to switch. We don't dislike Nikon, or others, but Canon has never let us down and serves our small business, and our personal lives, quite well.
