What unknown linux distro do you like the default UI of?

this is more of a discussion question, but I am thinking of going back to linux again soon. so this discussion has a use as well as general interest of peoples opinion, as I want to go with an new distro this time, before I have always gone with ubuntu or Joli os but now I want to explore linux more. this is also a useful question for people starting linux. ok here is my answer :

I like the look of Pinguyos, ElementaryOS,

what is yours? search around google and see what interesting distros you can bring to the table :).

NOTE : here are the distro's that I do not want to see appearing as a answer for a "Exotic/Unknown linux distro" as in MY opinion they are not. -

  1. Ubuntu linux.
  2. Arch Linux.
  3. Debian Linux.
  4. Xubuntu Linux.
  5. OpenSUSE.
  6. Kubuntu.
  7. List item6.

if the distro you find is already said then simply thumb up the answer of who ever said that item and find another one for your answer

Lets make this a nice little discussion and conversation for the community.

you do not have to be a linux geek or know much at all about linux to join in with this discussion just google image, a friendly attitude and the ability to read and research and have an opinion :)

I just did a Google search and found this website to Back Track 5 Linux. I guess it is suppose to be the highest secure Linux distro. For like professionals. http://www.backtrack-linux.org/

It was made by network technicians and professionals for network technicians and professionals. It is not a "hacking OS". Like so many other tools used in this industry, this one can be abused. But just because it can be abused does not mean it was made to be malicious.

Well, I prefer ElemenaryOS, because their highest priority is design and functionality. It's visually better than any other Linux distro that I've seen.

I've seen a lot that I like. Elive, Sabayon, OpenGEU and PCLinuxOS just to name a few. I tend to stay with Ubuntu because it tends to have current versions of the graphics software.

Unknown distro? I'm confused by the question. My favorites would be Gentoo and Sabayon.
