Hello, I was wondering if it would possible to put a USB sound card connected to set of speakers on a USB device server connected to my access point. So i can use my iPhone/ iPad to send music via airplay to those speakers (the iPhone/ iPad will be on the same access point). Thanks in advance!

No that's not possible. Airplay isn't a piece of hardware but software. The device itself would have to be able to receive a Airplay stream and play it through the USB sound card which as far as I know doesn't exist yet.

There are a few payed and free program's that run on a windows pc (and mac I believe) that allow you to use AirPlay. I do this with my laptop, plugging some speakers into it then playing my songs wirelessly over the network using AirPlay.

If you've got an old pc laying around maybe you could try that?

Just do a google search for AirPlay on windows.

They generally only support the sound part of AirPlay but that's all you seem to need :)
