Honestly speaking No. There are many reasons bcoz of which it can't be my office suite. Since the kind of usability features with other tools like MS, Google docs will definitely have to revamp the system again. I have come across very edifying article from this start up called CollateBox http://www.collatebox.com/ its about making better than Google docs http://blog.collatebox.com/blog/2012/02/making-spreadsheet-data-sharing-better-than-google-docs-.html Have a look at this one.

I use Microsoft Office 2010 but I have the Google Docs plugin installed so all my docs are automatically backed up online. This combo has worked great for me.
Personally, if I have to pay for Microsoft Office, I would rather use Google Docs and Open Office.

If I had to choose between Office 07/10 or Docs, then I'd go for Office only because it has more functions and is desktop. If I had to choose between OpenOffice (or its other bothers) or Docs, I'd go with Docs. For now, I'm using only Office.

I use Google Docs as my main office suite. Sometimes I have to use Microsoft Office to do very specific things in programs like Word and Excel that you can't do in Google Docs though. So Google still needs to add things to make Google Docs something that can completely replace Office.

My school's doing that now, making us write our papers and share them via Google Docs. I don't like to actually write on Google Docs as I have rather messed up internet and Google might not save my last keystroke. I write it on Word then upload and share.
