Currently since I do not have a working webcam for my Mac I decided that I would stream my desktop for now! I am always watching the news! So I found out a while ago that my local news station does 24/7 streaming online! Justin.tv does allow you to broadcast content online meaning broadcast live video if it's not copyrighted! So for now I want to stream my local NBC Boston! station on my stream but the problem is I am having a problem where it's lagging not much at times but at certain times of the day you have a very bad lag! I have everything setup meaning Camtwist is all setup to what I need it's just I need some help with my settings in Flash Media Encoder. I took some screenshots of my current settings in Flash Media Encoder and I took some shots of my internet speed to show you how fast my internet is when I stream. So I am streaming in 1280x720 HD and I am wondering how I can get little to no lag on my stream while streaming the desktop and while working and doing other stuff at the same time while I am live streaming 24/7 |

The news technically is copyrighted, lmao. It actually isn't. Justin.tv allows you to broadcat it The news broadcast straight from NBC is copyrighted towards them. At the end you'll see Copyright NBC as a pop-up. http://i.imgur.com/lNonM.png For example. |

Use USTREAM. What streaming site lags more? Ustream or Justin.tv Justin.tv sucks. I used it and I found ustream much better, even though I like the look of justin.tv Ustream is better, but won't solve the lag |

I'm guessing you mean your connection is lagging, that's because you're downloading the news stream, running what ever sites you have open, all while uploading your streamed desktop, and your little verizon router not only keep up with it, but the data being sent and received can't keep up with what it needs, that's why Chris has an entirely different connection for his mac mini the stream is broadcasted on. |
