If I rooted my phone and put the official release of Jelly Bean on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, will that void my warranty? I rooted it about 2 months ago and yesterday the vibration motor just failed. It totally slipped my mind and now I'm in full panic mode.

Rooting will not void the warranty. But the warranty does not cover software problems i.e. if you brick your device with faulty software, it's on you.

But no, it does not void your warranty. The warranty only applies to the hardware.
