The new iPhone 5 has been officially reveled to the world. While there is nothing really revolutionary inside of the device, it does still look pretty attractive. Bigger screen, faster processor, and LTE are the major features, but there a plenty of other upgrades. Are you planning on getting or upgrading to an iPhone 5? |
I'm gonna sit this round out... Nothing new or revolutionary exciting to justify the buy... |
I will probably upgrade, mainly because I want to sell and upgrade from my iPhone 4 before it becomes worthless, and plus it has no warranty and don't want to end up with a broken worthless phone. I'd switch to windows phone, but the amount of apps I've bought just makes that inconceivable. |
I will, I have an iPhone 4 and I upgrade every 2 years which is perfect considering how Apple tends to really "upgrade" the iPhone every 2 years. |
When my upgrade arrives like March or something I will upgrade to the iPhone 4 for free. |

YES!!! I've had my 3GS for a few years now, so I'm definitely ready for an update. But either way, the taller screen and LTE support are more than enough to get me excited. I don't get the obsession with product updates always having to be "revolutionary". If they improve the overall experience, I'm in. And they did. It feels like though this may be the best update to the iPhone yet, people are unimpressed and demand more. Look at the improvements, not based on crazy expectations or how "non-revolutionary" it is, but on how they will effect how you operate on a daily basis. I don't know why, but people just aren't getting excited for updates anymore. Maybe because leaks give everything away and expectations become a culmination of everything that has been rumored, though it won't all come true. I don't know, it just seems a little ungrateful to me. This is a great update, good job Apple. |

I would love to jump on the iPhone bandwagon but there are 3 very big reasons why I won't... No wide range support for T-Mobile... (Yes I know I could use the iPhone on T-Mobile's network, but I would rather have an Android that I can get 3G from...) iOS. To me, Android is far superior in respect to iOS. It allows so much more control over your phone. You can truly make it yours. You don't have to use Apple specific apps. For instance, the last time I checked you can't change your default browser from Safari. It is always Safari. I don't know if that's still the case, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I would much rather be able to choose whatever browser I want. Also, iOS doesn't let me get to the root of my phone or give me a filesystem structure. That is a big blow to me because I sometimes depend on my phone's filesystem to store important documents. I treat my phone like a USB stick from time to time. And the lack of customization just kills me. I like to have great control over my phone, which brings me to my third reason... Control. In my viewpoint, I have really no control over the iPhone. I can't do what I want with it without breaking Apple's EULA. I can't download an app from a third party source. I must use Apple specific software to sync my phone... Just very little things that add up to me. I want control over my devices, and I find it almost mocking that Apple doesn't allow the user to have control. And its funny considering that between OS X and Windows, Apple offers the most control to the user in terms of software. But don't get me wrong, the new iPhone looks great! I would get it if those 3 reasons were addressed. I own a Mac, I would love to have my phone and Mac sync together completely. Maybe iOS 7 will address that for me, but as for the time being, I can't justify getting the iPhone. |

no way! It's practically a pitty upgrade. I'll be getting the Galaxy S3 unlocked. |
