So long story short, I am trying to upgrade like the title says but it gives me an error when the upgrade disk is trying to copy temporary files. I've tried Apple's upgrade utility, but when I try to install it, OSX says it's for Windows, and Windows says it's not made for the OS.

Has anybody done this before?

I have like 150GB left on the Windows partition so space ins't an issue.

Hmmm... Sorry man I got nothing. If no one comes up with an answer within a few days and your question is flushed onto old pages try calling 1-800-MY-APPLE or https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa

What are you using to update? Do you have a new Windows 7 Ultimate disk or are you using something else?

If you want to use Windows Anytime Upgrade (I'd probably recommend doing that, it's much easier than re installing Windows), you have to boot into Windows. Then click Start and in the search box type "Anytime Upgrade". There should be a result called "Windows Anytime Upgrade". Open that and, if you already have a key for Windows 7 Ultimate, you should be able to enter that directly, or there's a link to buy an upgrade license.
