I have noticed that I do not have a well enough mic. I know that the mic that I use is the one that comes with the camera. I want the video to sound better but the ports I have on the camera I don't know if it will work These are the ports on the Nikon Coolpix L120

You could use an external audio recorder like the Zoom H4n or the Tascam DR-40 and sync the audio in post. This is a popular workflow with cameras without XLR inputs. I do this with my Sony NEX-5N.

Or if you're able to record the audio straight to your computer without moving the mic around you could use a USB mic like the Audio-Technica AT2020 or the Blue Yeti. Either way you'll have to sync in post.

Other than that I think you're out of luck.
