Hello Lockergnome community! I am a senior in high school, and I attend the engineering club after school where we do engineering things like programming and putting hardware together to do things. Ya know! So last year when I was there for only a quarter I was on three interviews. The club is starting early this year, so that may mean a lot more interviews will come my way. I'm a quiet person, and don't talk too much. I'm not good at holding a conversation for long, let along answering a specific question they ask me about what I do in the club. I'm just no good at being interviewed, and would love to have advise, because I believe that interviews are an important part of my future career. Any advise would greatly be appreciated. |

Are you afraid of making a mistake? If so it could be useful to pay a visit to a school's council (or whoever helps you with sutf like that). As for the 'don't talk much' there not really to much you can do other then to just start talking more, sounds easy but can be though. Personally I don't think being good at interviews while you work in the tech business has any effect on your carrer, most companies hire people (or have them them-selfs) to do the interviews and all media related events. A tech guys should have to be perfect at interviews just to make his/her tech better. |

Just remember that the interviewer's job is to have you talk. Let them do the work. You just need to make sure that you answer the question in its entirely. Explain it as simple as you can. I can understand that you feel nervous, just remember that the interviewer is suppose to do the hard work. |

Here's one video I give everyone before having a job interview. See if this helps, as it's helped all my friends getting their jobs. (Don't forget to give me a thumbs up !! |
