What is Google Now's banner based on?

Is it based on your location or does everyone have this New York skyline with the Chrysler building and the Empire State building? When I was in Jersey I had the same one, so I'm wondering do you all have it, lmao.

It could be based on location or it could be based on device since my device is a Nexus 7 tablet.

I've never seen country plains on a device before. My tablet nor my phone ever showed that but hmm.

Maybe its by location then. Though, the area I live in isn't mountainous so I don't know why they'd show mountains.

Its definitely by location. Me, being in CT, I often get that banner with mountains but with some buildings.

(2) I am pretty sure that is the default banner for Google Now.

Lmao, that's weird if everyone had a NY Skyline though. If I were in lets say San Fran, I'd at least want the Golden Gate bridge or something local.

Sorry to bump this up, but I was upstate for a couple of days on a trip to visit some colleges, and I found out that they have some more images for Google Now. Plus it sucks that upstate, the signal sucks ass and most colleges/universities only have EDGE service. That narrows down my choices. :/ (Here's a screenshot that I took when I went to SUNY Cobleskill yesterday.)
