As an iPhone 4S user, is it worth upgrading it to iPhone 5?

I would say if you really want the LTE support, HD (720p) front facing camera, longer screen, lightning jack, and headset at the bottom, with a nano-SIM, be my guest. I would stick with the iPhone 4S for now, because it's only the first week out, and no one really has a "review". I say review in quotes because the 5 came out (for consumers) on Friday, so we don't have any conclusions yet except from CNet, who got it a week in advance. Now, will Apple redesign the next year's iPhone, well I'd say no. Ever since the 3G, they stayed with the same form factor for 2 years, ie) 3G and 3GS look alike, 4 and 4S look alike.

All the "new features", you can get with the 4S via the iOS 6 update, so the panorama, the app store redesign, and yes, even the Apple (fail) maps you will get.

1	It's personal I think. I have a 4s and I won't upgrade, I'll sit this one out. There's not enough exciting new features that makes me wanna upgrade. And like DJ Scooby Doo already mentioned, most software upgrades in iOS6 are also on 4s... answered Sep 24 '12 at 09:47 TheDutchGuy 946●2●6●21

Unless you have the need for LTE then no, the only other major advantage is the extra icon row, which seems to me to be more of a gimmick.

I think apples mindset is a 2 year upgrade, by the time 2 years are up, the phone is different enough to think an upgrade. but from 4s->5 no.
