Ok, please don't be biased. I know once we have bought a fancy new product it's only natural to brag and promote it but in all seriousness give me your unbiased opinion! I'm a student studying graphic design... something portable would be great for me, but should I just get a laptop? Thoughts please? (I know a laptop would probably be cheaper too) |

I'm using my iPad right now. I think that it's worth the money. I probably couldn't live without it as of right now. You'll see how much you need one when you have it. |

My iPad is basically used to entertain nieces, nephews, and theirs friends. It's a toy! You'll want something with a true stylus, pressure sensitivity, wacom technology, etc. You'll want to run more powerful graphics software. I recommend getting an Axiotron : Modbook®. It's what the iPad should've been.
YouTube Videos: If you're rich, go for the The Modbook® Pro > Axiotron : The Modbook® Pro
I would love to have that but it's really expensive O.o, still cool! Too expensive for me, as well. I ended up buying an HP Touchscreen Tablet PC with built-in wacom technology. Did you know that Woz is on the board of directors with this company? Axiotron; not HP |

I was on the fence about buying an iPad for months. I didn't see the need one would fill for me and couldn't justify the price to myself. Fast forward several months and, now, my entire family has iPads -- my 60-year-old mother and father, my younger brother, my husband and myself. We all use them slightly differently but we're all getting a lot of enjoyment and use out of them. I finally bought mine after seeing what iOS was bringing (later this year for the iPad) and discovering some of the iPad specific apps available. I realized I could stop lugging my laptop around at least half the time if I had an iPad. That, and my 3-year-old daughter can watch videos on it, play simple games or simply use it as a digital sketch pad. Note: She's very good with technology and is supervised; I'm not saying the iPad is an ideal children's tool/toy, although with the right case and kidlet it's a match made in heaven. |

I had one but traded it for a laptop. I would reccommend getting it if you don't plan on using it as your main machine. |
