Windows 8 is coming out on October 26th, so about a month and three days from now. I wouldn't know about if 7 will still be sold, but I bet they would for maybe a month.

They wouldn't pull pull seven that quickly, do thay> I've never really been conscious about release dates, and @DJ Scooby Doo , I know you love 8, but jeez louise I still can't stand it, then again I haven't really used it but still, I would imagine a bit more than a month, and in stores maybe a month but I'm sure New Egg and other bigger stores would still have it.

amazon.com is still selling the Win 7 Family upgrade 3-pack---> cheap. Grab one of those- best bang-for-the-buck, imho.

(Yes, you can use the upgrade to do a fresh install- check Google. MS left that loophole, same as was true for Vista).
