How should I promote my indiegogo? (Please help)

I have a campaign with indiegogo. It's a FPS video game. How should I get traffic? I don't have an audience on my youtube or twitter. My friends on facebook can't help. What do I do? I want to put it on forums but I'm afraid of it being removed! Help?

I'm personally of the mindset that people should use indiegogo for charities. not for creating video games. I don't know who benefits, you get tools and potently profit from it, that is not right. If the money was going to a lady who was embarrassed on the bus to get a vacation (and her turn around and use a portion of the money for a charity to stop bulling, that is fine. Or to send a sick kid to Disneyland because Make-A-Wish can't help her due to logistical reasons, that is fine too.

But I'm sorry, I cannot promote funding for a video game.

Well, that depends on the idea itself. Try stuff like kickstarter, send it to some "well known" people from the media/gaming world, see if they approve and would agree to spread the word.

Well, Indiegogo is kickstarter. Pretty much same thing. Who are these "well known" people?

I don't really know (I can't give out names, because I can not guarantee that those people would be interested) a lot of media company's have representatives who you can email with such matters. Try some of the bigger youtube gaming channels (Machinima, IGN). Also, if you want to advertise your idea on a forum, consult a staff member of that certain board.

Also, try Reddit, if people like your idea, you might have a following audience.
