As most know Microsoft is a software company. They have Windows, which everyone knows and loves. They have Office software which schools and businesses love and can't live without. But what else do they do?

Other than Windows and Office (Schools and Business software) What else does Microsoft make software for? There are only 2 software programs that I can think of that Microsoft makes that aren't in Offics or Windows. That is Visual Studio, and Expression Encoder.

I have been using a lof of Microsoft Software lately, With their Office 365, Visual Studio, and Expression. I love the software they make, because it's visually apealing, and easy to use.

What other software do they have?

So, they are mainly a internet software and operating system company. Along with Xbox. There is not much desktop software they make other than the ones that come with your computer?

No many companies are going to web based solutions (harder to pirate is but one reason why.) Microsoft is a software company at heart, they sell a little hardware (most likely designed and manufactured by another company) But the company makes all kinds of software. Heck they even make software that runs on unix to make windows more compatible with a unix server.
