Tapbots released a new app called Netbot. Which is for this so called social media kind of platform called App.net

What is it exactly? Is it like Twitter or Facebook? What is it for? Is it worth paying for the service? Like it's some form of Premium Social Network?

To me it seems like quite simply Facebook with no ads. It's a social network they make you pay for monthly so you don't have yo put up with ads. In my opinion it's not worth paying for unless you can get all your friends to pay as well. As its not a free service it's unlikely to attract the billion users that Facebook has. The price also seems a little steep, $100 a year! I would stick with Facebook/twitter/G+
