BT Infinity has good rates but I have had many problems with them (I have been off for three weeks as there Technician mucked up at the exchange - http://joe.izzard.me/bt-infinity-installation-2/). They also offer the Openzone network which allows you to get onto the internet anywhere but, As I understand it, if you use the BT Fon network any BT Customer can jump onto your Hub which is part of the Network.
Had TalkTalk before BT but had problems with there billing system.

In truth the rate you get is far more likely to be decided by where you live and the quality of the phone network than by actual ISP, If you have the good fortune to live in a cabled area then Virgin will, of course, allow you to bypass the phone network altogether but otherwise it's still pretty much potluck in areas where Infinity is not yet available.
