It has come to the time where I have to upgrade my contract and after many glorious years of using my iPhone's, I have decided to give Android a chance. I have narrowed my phone choice down to the HTC One X but I have a few problems. Firstly I am not a fan of HTC sense or any other overlay the manufactures put on their devices. I did look at the nexus at one point but the HTC is a safer hardware option for me. Do you think I should wait for the Samsung Galaxy S3?
I do prefer Samsung's overlay to HTC's even though id rather it didn't have one. I want a phone of the same or similar specs to the HTC (i.e. quad core, retina-like display). I also want the phone to be worth a high amount so if I decided to get an iPhone 4S, I could sell the Android phone. I must also point out that the Android contract is far cheaper, otherwise I would have immediately purchased the iPhone 4S. What are your opinions?
I have seen a rumoured leaked invite to Samsung's S3 event (pictured below) and if I am honest, from the photo the phone looks awfully designed! Do you think this is legit?
I realise this is a long question but would appreciate any help with this decision. Unfortunately I would have very little time to try the two phones out properly.
UPDATE: I have now purchased the One X having seen the SIII's announcement yesterday. The SIII has a worse design, lower build quality, worse screen, worse processor and I do not like the TouchWiz either. Very happy with my decision now.

I am almost in the same situation as yourself and I'm going to wait for the Galaxy S 3. If the Galaxy S 3 fails some how then the One X will be my second choice.
My reason is I have the Galaxy S and my sister has the S2. I think both phones are great and I'm really looking forward to the S3. I do have a feeling that they will produce a monster spec phone.
Samsung also did say they are going to make the battery last a full day with moderate to heavy usage and I'm not convinced with HTC and their battery life either.
I don't think that photo is legit.
I think you should wait cause then you can see what both are like.

Keep in mind the cool thing with Android phones is that you don't have to stick with the interface that comes with the phone. You can download other interfaces, often called launchers, to replace Sense, etc.
Doing a quick search here is an article that mentions 5 launchers worth taking a look at. http://www.techdrivein.com/2011/10/top-5-android-launchers-worth-trying.html
As for HTC One X vs Galaxy S3... that is the million dollar question isn't it? All we have are rumors when it comes to the S3. Supposedly the One X is coming within days/weeks where-as depending on the rumor the S3 is weeks/months away still. We know what to expect with the HTC One X and it really does look like a great phone. I'm sure the S3 will be too so it's just a question of if you want to wait or not.

I would wait for the SIII. They are all great phones and great companies, but the Galaxy S series holds a lot of wait in the Android world. The "One" series is brand new and has yet to take off yet, but I'll be watching that product line and so should many other android users.
