So, RIM is kind of dying. Their customers are moving away to other platforms and BB10 has been delayed over and over. Does anyone think BB10 will win RIM customers and save them, or will they go the same way as Palm and make a cool new OS but then just die off? |

here is my take on RIM's possition: Main Issue: Lack of developers Resolution: RIM should ditch their own platform and design phones with Android or Windows Phone (in their case Windows Phone would be better) Issue: What about security Resolution: Build tools that will run on Android or Windows Phone to make it more secure and offer tools to make an IT's person job much easier. But that is just my thoughts... 1
also for your viewing pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlsahuZ_4oM It also just occurred to me we cannot possibly talk about developers without also watching Steve Ballmer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8To-6VIJZRE |

As a BB user for almost 10 years we were the elite in 2004 and BB had the market locked. They didn't however reinvent themselves and it all went stale real fast. I think Rim needs to rethink their smartphone ideals and consolidate on one or two devices instead of trying to please everyone, I would send their software group packing and hire some fresh faces with new ideas. BB10 will do well because it is a huge improvement but from what I understand the core BB software still sits lurking underneath. It's a great time to clean house at Rim, start swinging the axe and make something happen. |

Blackberry devices are amazing!!!
I sure hope that BB10 saves RIM. I love RIM!
