I need help choosing between an Asus tf-300 tablet or a nexus 7. I know its really what suites me but both suite me perfectly i cant decide because they both have quad-core tegra 3 proccessors and 1 gig of ram. The nexus gets updates faster like 4.1.2 but the asus has a bigger screen but has a low ress screen. Can you guys just help me pick i have 320 dollar budget and i found 4 asus prime tabs for under 300 so price doesnt really matter at this point. Please and thank you:)

This is a very subjective question, since what's "best" for me isn't necessarily "best" for you. I would be inclined to go for the Nexus 7. Its widespread use and support may come in handy as compared to other less common budget Android tablets. It shouldn't make that much of a difference, but it's something to consider. Nexus 7 is an affordable, feature-rich option - but it's not the only option.

You really need to try using both for some period of time. Go into a store/borrow from someone so you can get a feel for the one that suits you best. Also what you want to do with the tablet is important, the Nexus is better for content consumption than creation, however the nexus is newer and is likely to be supported for longer. Try both out and they'll probably be one you prefer

I would hold your horses on a tablet right now. I feel that Windows 8 will be a strong competitor and will open the gates on tablets once again.

I have my eyes on the new ThinkPad tablet 2 that will be released after the windows 8 launch. roomers stating they will run for about the 799 mark although it is above your budget but it is worth watching to see what the market does. Windows are also coming out with their surface tablet. Blackberry is also getting ready to launch their new platform and I am interested to see if they develop a tablet to go with it...

I guess in summary hold off to see what the market does around the gift giving season, if they are going to come out, they will do it soon.

As a side note, I have for a long time said when buying technology it is not about the specs, it is about the way it feels, a laptop with a core i7 and a really good graphics card, lots of HD space and lots of ram is very nice, but if they keyboard feels cheap... then it is cheap...

Also if the UI is poorly written and crashes, or the software makes it sluggish, it will destroy the experience, one reason apple has been successful.
