Is it possible to upgrade from win7 to win8 on a mac (without loosing all of your data)? I have a BOOTCAMP partition. (obviously)

Yes, you would perform a standard upgrade within your Windows 7 partition.

Insert your Windows 8 disc and follow the instructions. Make sure you select "upgrade" instead of new installation so it doesn't over write your files.

Before doing any of this make sure you absolutely want Windows 8. Reversing the process is a bit more difficult with Windows 8. I advise trying Windows 8 in a virtual machine first before committing to the upgrade, if you know you want it, go ahead with my previous instructions.

With any OS upgrade/installation it is advisable that you back up your data just in case anything were to go wrong. It shouldn't but it's better to be safe.

Thanks for answering! I have tried Win8 and I think it's a solid upgrade. And since I have the pro RTM edition, I think I should just go ahead and install it.
