What do you prefer for screen size?

I really like what I have seen from the Galaxy Note Two, a combination of a phone and tablet, yet at the same time a more basic size 3.5" screen is perfectly fine as well. 5.5" is really as large as a phone can get, even that is almost a small tablet.

Something I would have to try to see which one I would like the best.

for a phone, the size is different for everyone and basically the proper size is the largest size that can fit in one hand and allow for 1 handed operation of the entire touch surface.

For tablets, the 9.7-10.1 inch size is almost ideal, as it allows a good balance between size and portability and viewing full sized web pages without having to have everything really tiny.

My perfect size for a phone is the Galaxy S2. My brother has it, and I think for many things it would be perfect for doing. Like reading articles, watching videos, and very light gaming. The iPhone 3GS is just too small. It's a little phone. But still very great for a lot of the things I do. I would love to try the 4in form factor on the new iPhone.

3.8 to 4'' is good for me. I could get used to phablet 4.5 or higher, but 4 is good for me.

I hate phones the size of the Note. Also the iPhone is too small. The Nexus devices are perfect for me.
