Hello everybody! Today I need a little bit of help. On my laptop, the Dell Precision M4400, I have had a Corsair Force GT SSD installed in it and it has worked great and fast for a while now. Well, today I got home from school to use my laptop and it said that it couldn't find a bootable device, even though it was working this morning. It works fine with a hard drive but not my SSD. Not that big of deal but I would like my SSD to work with my laptop. Any help would be nice, and by the way, my laptop is running revision A26 BIOS.

I believe it's to do with the intel rapid raid in the bios. Change it to achi and it should work... Should be in the sata settings

AHCI is already enabled.

Change that then. See if that helps.

Okay, does the computer know the drive is there in the bios under the boot menu? Are you trying to install windows using a CD? Or have you copied over the files from the old drive?

If you have another computer try putting the SSD in that computer and see if you can browse the files on the drive. If it works in another computer then we will have to troubleshoot the computer itself. If the SSD doesn't work in the other computer then it may have gone bad...

Sounds like you knocked the SSD loose. Unscrew the base plate on the bottom of the laptop where the SSD is stored, and unplug it then push it back onto the motherboard again. Don't worry, it's very safe and simple and won't void your warranty.
