Google Docs stopped working around the time I updated Chrome. I have been getting error messages that the document could not be saved.
This problem has been happening on all of my computers running the latest Chrome version. The error does not occur on a separate browser such as Mozilla Firefox or IE.
Has anyone else had a similar issue, or better yet, a solution?

From my knowledge, Google Docs is having issues today. I know that you say that it works in different web browsers, but it's probably because the quick patch that Google used lost compatibility with their web browser. Then again, what do I know?

similar problem is being faced by me. When I enter data directly into the cell, the cursor jumps to the left. And the data does not also get saved. The only way out is to enter the cells data in the data entry bar and save. copy paste cells also doesn't work anymore. Again the way out is to copy the data from the cell and paste into the new cell through the tool bar. The chrome is neither alfa, beta or dev, but stable version.(19.0.1084.46 m) gdocs is working in other browsers like opera or ie wthout these problems, but with other minor annoyances.

Ok, I'm using version 21.0.1180.89 on Linux, but previous version was not working better : Try to open a new Google Text Document :
Clicking OK :
Yeah ! Working so great !
Then, creating a new spreadsheat :
Try to type "Test" :
Hoho ! estT oO No exactly what I want.
Then, type enter :
YEAH ! Disappear ! What's this shit ?

Check your chrome extensions, one or more may be clashing with Google Docs. Try disabling all extensions, or just open an incognito window(extensions are disabled under incognito by default unless you set an exception in your config), and open Google Docs.
If everything works, go through your extensions, enabling them one by one, until you find the culprit. To save you some time, if you see the "SaveNow" extension or something similar, you've got some AdWare / MalWare that's snuck into your extensions. Just fixed this exact problem for someone else.

You are right ! Solved by desactivating Alexa extension !
On the screen capture, you can see that I had a strange orange exclamation point on the top right. Chrome was detected that an extension was doing something bad. It was Alexa, and after desactivating it, everything was working correctly !
