I have an HTC Hero and I love it. However, there are some stuff I dont like about it.

The app-market. It is hard to search, sort and find good apps and it is so much shitty apps that Im not interested in. I am not interested in soundboards for example. I want to take stuff like that away.

What do you think is is the biggest problem with Android?

I've had problems with my device locking up. But that is because I'm running too many applications at once.

The device it self. My dad has a htc hero and the touch screen s***s it only works with a stylist and doesn't respond. The software also had to be reinstalled 3 times before it kinda worked.

What Android needs is more development but we can trust Google for working on it.

The biggest problem for me was the battery life. My phone also often overheats.

The apps don't seem to be as high a quality ad those for the iphone or ipad if they could raise the bar a little bit and work on power management it would be nice

I would generally agree with most of the comments so far that the main problems with the Android OS are power management, SOME software stability issues, and occassionally the phone does get a little overloaded. I will also add that voice/bluetooth integration could be a litle better as the voice recognition phone dialing is still a little awkward and requires a third party app to work at all.

That being said, I LOVE MY PHONE! I love that it can run so many apps at one time, I love the wireless capability that drains the power out of the phone faster than a vampire (something that should be resolved with version 2.2), I love that there are more crazy software developers coming up with cool (mostly FREE/CHEAP) programs that occassionally crash on my system and require FREQUENT updates to eventually stablize, and most of all I love that I can do many of the operations hands free (okay mostly hands free)!

Did I mention that I loved my phone...it is a Moto Droid BTW...

The Android Marketplace leaves a lot to be desired. I don't mean the apps - those are very good and quickly improving - but the Marketplace itself. First of all, it's poorly organized and it's not pleasant to browse. There needs to be an official website to browse on as well. I'd also like to see Google take a more middle-of-the-road approach to Marketplace management. I LOVE that Android Marketplace is more open than the iPhone App Store, but it would be nice if Google certified apps that are known to be safe to use and have proper power and memory management. This way, the Marketplace could remain relatively open like it is now, but people would have the option to be more conservative in the apps they purchase if they want.
