iPhone 5 and Android tablet, or Android phone and iPad?

I want one of each, which would be the best, I know that Android's phone apps are pretty on par with the iPhones, but I don't think the Nexus 7 is on par with the iPad as far as apps. I was either thinking about getting the iPhone 5 ($200) and a Nexus 7 ($200)=$400 or the Evo 4G Lte on Sprint ($100) and the iPad mini ($330)=$430. Which path should I take. I just know that I want 1 iOS device and 1 android for variety's sake. Please leave your opinions below.

1	I went with Galaxy S 3 and Ipad. You cannot get a tablet that matches the iPad plus it is the only tablet that has apps that are made for it. Nexus 7 is great too but the ipad blows it away with everything. answered Nov 04 '12 at 15:20 DenneyMasters 151●15●19●22

I know this is bit of topic, not an option... But in my opinion, I would go with iPhone 5 and iPad, be cause as you probably know everything that runs IOS works together. So you would get a much better experience out of it.

I agree. Also take into consideration if you own a Mac. The syncing between your Mac and iOS devices would be very powerful, and its actually one of the reasons that I am most likely switching to iOS soon.

Of course you could be heavily invested in Google, and in the case that you are, there is a good portion of the Google Apps on iOS. Even things such as Google Now is on iOS, so you would have features from Google that millions of Android users don't even have access too!

Honestly I agree with the wanting two different experiences but the devices just do not work well with each other. Also when you buy an app on your iPhone you can also use it on your iPad you can not do that cross platform. If that doesn't bother you that you have to buy your apps twice then decide which operating system you like better and make that your phone and get the other in a tablet.

My opinion: iPhone 5 and Nexus 7.
