What makes the prequels so bad? I hated Jar Jar Binks, but there must be other reasons people hate the prequels |

for me they came to late, the level of CGI gave them a very different feel to the original trilogy and not in a good way so i'm hoping the future films will try to use as little CGI as possible. Also i think George should have targeted an older audience when he scripted the movies and characters rather than going for a younger audience, the fan base grew up on the films but the plot & script didn't in turn. Star Wars is just that, a war and wars aren't pretty or nice and you just didn't get the feel of that reality in the films where as in the original trilogy you felt the underlining struggle for survival of the rebellion. Looking forward to the new films however judgement should be reserved until a director & production team are named so we can have an idea of what to expect visually, until then i'm looking forward to 1313 next year which looks epic and more importantly for me at least it's directed to an older audience. |

Lets see. Cheesy scripts, crappy story line, and to much CGI. |

I guess because everyone aw the 70s' and 80s' releases first is why they hate the prequels. |

I think it's because they're not as immersive as 4x. There just isn't as much empathy induced for Anakin as there was for Luke. Luke was the extremely likable reluctant hero and Anakin was the somewhat normal kid gone bad. As much as I liked Jar jar and his people they were a little corny and cutesy for Star Wars. I don't think 1-3 stunk in the broad scope but they didn't hold a candle to the Star Wars I grew up with. |
