Why won't my new iPhone 5 upload videos directly from my phone to YouTube in 1080p just in 720p

Is their something wrong with my iPhone 5 because when I upload videos to YouTube from the phone it only uploads in 720p and not 1080p. What could be the problem. I just got the phone last Friday for my 18th birthday and the video is not uploading in it's full recording resolution. What could be wrong?

The new iPhone 5 will not upload videos to youtube in 1080P because it follows the same scheme from previous iPhones. Instead of making a whole new app specifically for the iPhone 5, it reuses old code they have and make one single app to work on instead of multiple similar apps.

Probably the most logical reason is that most people do not watch videos in full 1080P and Apple think that it is not worth the extra bandwidth it needs to upload full HD video

The only alternative is to download a 3rd party app that will let you upload to Youtube in 1080P HD video
